CONTINUOUS Network

CONTINUOUS is a partnership project between BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art (Gateshead) and Siobhan Davies Studios (London). The CONTINUOUS Network expands that partnership to incorporate galleries Bluecoat (Liverpool), Nottingham Contemporary, The Tetley (Leeds), Tramway (Glasgow) and Turner Contemporary (Margate), and dance organisations Dance4 (Nottingham) and Yorkshire Dance (Leeds).

Accessibility settings are a prominent feature, included in the site header. The default settings are intended to be user-friendly (colours meet WCAG 2.0 guidelines, images are provided with alt text) but users can further adjust the font sizes and colours, and opt to disable animations or images.

The site CMS is Wordpress and is self-managed by the CONTINUOUS team. The frontend site is built with Next.js, which pulls data from Wordpress into a pre-rendered static site, meaning superfast, app-like page loads.
